WBid 3.1 Installation

Click the picture to the left to start the installation.

When prompted to Run or Save this file choose "Save". Download the installer program to a folder on your computer that is easy to find. "My Documents" or the "Desktop" are usually the best choices. Please do not rename the installer file.

Close your browser window, locate the installer file on your computer, and double-click it to launch (run) the installer program.

Follow the prompts to install WBid. The installer will ask for your name, employee number, and an approximate domicile seniority number. Your employee number should ONLY contain numerical digits. Do not enter 'e', extra zeroes, or spaces in the Employee Number field.

Requirements
- Microsoft Windows Operating System
   Windows 2000, XP, 2003 Server, Vista, 2008 Server, and Windows 7.
   Note: Windows 98, 98se, Me are NOT supported.
- SWA Crew Portal (SWALife) login account.
- Internet Explorer 6.0, or subsequent version of IE.

Note: Any web browser may be used but WBid needs components of Internet Explorer to be installed on your computer.

If you have a 64-bit version of Windows (i.e. Windows Vista 64) you may need additional system libraries from Microsoft. Please click here to download the 64-bit system file (vcredist_x64.exe) installer.

Evaluation and Registration

When installed for the first time WBid runs in "evaluation mode" for 60 days. This is to provide sufficient time to evaluate the program and determine if it will meet your needs. WBid will be fully functional during that period but will display a "nag" screen each time it launches to remind you how many days are left in the evaluation.

Refunds will not be provided once the program is registered. The registration process provides a key that unlocks the program. The key cannot be invalidated because it is stored on your computer. Therefore, once registered, the program is fully functional and licensed.

Please make sure WBid works for you before registering.

Notes
During the initial installation you will be prompted for:
- Your Name.
- Your Employee Number.
- An approximate DOMICILE seniority number.

If you run the same installation again you will be asked whether you want to:
- Modify Options / Change Owner (run the installation again allowing changes to location or owner)
- Repair (install missing files)
- Uninstall
